Founders

Carlo Mancosu

Co-founder · CEO & Product Architect

Carlo leads XAB’s product vision and cognitive architecture. A researcher with a background in the humanities, he works across AI, epistemology and the design of economic networks.

Chief Innovation Officer at Kitzanos and co-founder of Sardex and Bflows, he has developed projects in mutual credit, AI-assisted education and semantic video search. He writes Dasein for Il Sole 24 Ore, exploring how technology changes knowledge, institutions and everyday life.

Mario Mureddu

Co-founder · Chief Scientific Officer

Mario is a physicist and AI researcher with a PhD from the University of Cagliari. He co-designs XAB’s cognitive architecture, with a particular focus on how learning and memory develop through use.

His research spans complex systems, machine learning and blockchain. Alongside this work, he advises organisations on AI, cybersecurity and data protection, and serves as Data Protection Officer at Bflows. He brings these questions of governance and security into the design of the system.

We work in Europe, and XAB’s persistent-memory infrastructure runs on European servers. You choose whether model inference runs locally or through selected external services.
